Motorcycling Australia will compete for the very first time in the FIM Team Long Track World Championship at Swingfield, Kent, England this Sunday 18th of August.
The competition will be hotly contested with six other Nations including France, Czech Republic, Germany, Finland, Netherlands & hosts Great Britain.
Australia are represented in the a 3 team rider line up lead by the current World number 6, Victorian Cameron Woodward (Captain) & New South Wales riders Kozza Smith, Hunter Anderson & reserve Rodney McDonald.
Team Manager Mark Lemon said “It’s great for us (Australia) to going into the World Team Cup for the first time with our high speed racers, with Cameron Woodward who is riding high with his recent 2nd place in the last round of the individual World Championships in Poland and also with Kozza Smith & Hunter Anderson improving all the time on the World stage. It bodes well & we will surprise a few on the big, grassed tracked Swingfield circuit. We’re all pumped for it”.
The competition has been dominated by the Germans with their rich history and experience of long track racing all over Europe.
