South African Speedway: 2012 Northern Regions Final report.

The South African Northern Regions final was held at the Walkerville Showgrounds on Sunday the 30th of September. The premier speedway class started out with Neil Petit on 10 points from round 1 with Mac Mcgill 2 points behind.

Despite a falls on his second and third heats, Petit over came the odds and walked away the over champion. The under 21 class saw Lyle Kotze, laying second going into the final behind Jason Cole, only dropping one point for the meeting due to mechanical failure, winning. The meeting, but loosing the championship by 1 point to Cole.

Future stars new comer Grant Frank and veteran Hansie Kleynhans, both went into the final on equal 10 points, Frank had a good meeting, winning the meeting as well as the overall future stars championship.

The Mascot class saw Robin Brill score a maximum for the day on his 250cc, beating his nearest rival, Brandon Devine on a 500cc by 11 points overall, claiming the mascot trophy and championship
