When you are driving at night one of the most frustrating and frightening things that you can encounter is when you are moving along a darkened road and suddenly come across a large animal that you didn’t see until you had past it.
What can be terrifying about this is that had the animal decided to just jump out in front of you, you wouldn’t have had enough time to respond, and that could have easily been the end of you or someone that was with you. Failing to have control over this kind of situation can be aggravating. The question is, with so many technological advancements that have occurred in both the automotive industry as well as the lighting industry, why do we still not have better headlights?
When you realize that there is such a thing out there, you will be equally frustrated and wanting to ask, why have the manufacturers failed to have these remarkable lights installed into their vehicle before they come off the sales lot?
There is an amazing option to help combat the darkness, and they are called HID headlights. These are special bulbs that offer lighting that is so bright that it reaches much farther and wider then anything on the road today. The xenon gas that is heated within the headlight gives off an intense light that enables the driver to be able to see better then the traditional halogen can and at a time when you are at your most vulnerable you need all the protection you can get
Statistics show that most of what we understand and use for driving safely comes from what we are able to see. When this is compromised by lighting that simply does not work as good as you can get, then you are putting you and your family at grave risk. In addition to this, there are some frightening statistics that show that when we are driving at night we are automatically at higher risk.
Although it is true that there are fewer drivers on the road at night, with as little as 60%, the accidents that happen at this time are much more severe. Experts have indicated that of these accidents as high as 40% of those involved will tragically be killed.
With this in mind it is difficult to understand why anyone would not want to replace their existing bulbs and install HID headlights. These powerful lights are not just extremely effective, they are also beautiful to look at and easy to install.
