The NEW icespeedway.com is designed to be more enjoyable to view and easier to access information for fans, racers and the media. Check it out, take a lap on it and see how it feels! Watch for regular News Briefs and World Championship event coverage, results with updated points standings from every WC Round beginning with the Season Opener November 14th at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. Motorcycle ice racer, sprint car driver and owner of Cheney Racing Engines, "Captain" Kirk Cheney from Hastings, MI, has agreed once again to give a sprint car driving school to the top three finishing riders in this winter's 35th Annual World Championship ICE Racing Series. This exciting and valuable once in a lifetime adventure will be given to the top 3 finishers in both pro racing divisions Manufacturers World Cup Motorcycles and ICE's Unlimited Outlaw Quads Last season's recipients had the ride of their life saying it was an awesome experience. World Champion "Jammin" Jared Mees' first ever sprint car ride was featured on SpeedChannel's Wind Tunnel hosted by Dave Despain. This year's sprint car experience will be held next summer at a Midwest track to be announced.
MORE DATES ADDED TO SCHEDULE!
Since our last E-Blast three additional events have been added to ICE's Anniversary Schedule. Planning on starting an annual Thanksgiving Holiday weekend Saturday night tradition a date has been booked at the James Brown Arena in Augusta, GA on November 27, 2010. The second date recently added is a rare Thursday night event at the Roanoke Civic Center in Roanoke, VA. This event connects with the January 22nd Round in Hampton, VA at the Hampton Coliseum. ICE's 35th Annual Grand Finale will take place at the Cambria War Memorial Arena in Johnstown, PA on March 25th. As MAV-TV's viewership continues to grow ICE is happy to announce they will be back on board this year planning on shooting more events than ever with several more cameras to better catch the excitement and color of World Championship ICE Racing. Several new POV "on-board" cameras are being added to each production to give viewers an up close and personal look at combat on ice.
