BirminghamSpeedway have assembled a top class line-up for their Joe Thurley Memorial Trophy meeting next Wednesday, September 15.

The final two names to be added to the line-up are British duo David Howe of Scunthorpe and Sheffield's in-form Premier League Pairs champion Josh Auty.

Auty also doubles-up for Coventry who sensationally qualified for the Elite League play-offs with a win over runaway league leaders Poole on Thursday.

And Howe spent several seasons with Wolverhampton before making the switch to the Premier League.

BRC Roofing Brummies stars Steve Johnston, Richard Sweetman, Jason Lyons, Aaron Summers, Chris Kerr, Justin Sedgmen and Kyle Newman are all included - and Elite League stars Ben Barker (Coventry) and Ty Proctor (Wolves) will also appear.

And National League leaders Dudley Heathens, who share Perry Barr for their home meetings, have three riders in the line-up - Lee Smart, Jake Anderson and Micky Dyer.

Birmingham boss Graham Drury said: "We're delighted with the line-up and it is so hard to pick a winner. All the boys we invited were delighted to accept, particularly our former favourite Tomasz Piszcz who is coming over from Poland especially for the meeting.

"It's a fitting line-up for a meeting in memory of Birmingham's former promoter Joe Thurley, a man I had a lot of time for. He was also clerk of the course when we started Speedway back here in 2007 and is still sadly missed."
