We are delighted to report that Adrian Rymel's orthopaedic operation on Wednesday has been successfully completed.
This involved grafting bone (from his hip area) into his neck, and will aid the healing of the break.
The medical team at the QE Spinal Injuries Unit will now concentrate more immediately on analysis and assessment of Adrian's spinal damage. Further bulletins will be issued by the club as and when relevant.
Adrian has now been joined in Glasgow by his family, who have flown in from the Czech Republic.
He is now in much-better spirits than at the weekend, and exceptionally grateful for a flood of get-well messages received by him at the Unit.
