A "closed doors” practice session today (Thursday) has delivered a positive outcome for sidelined Silver Ski Rocket Jordan Frampton.
The British Finalist, who has sat it out since suffering an injury to his left knee at Berwick on July 31st, came through the session with flying colours, and although, not surprisingly a little off full match fitness, reported no side effects to his injury after a gruelling one hour-plus trial.
Frampton will now return to the Rockets’ team for Saturday’s crucial Premier League match at home to Newport – which starts at the earlier than usual time of 6pm in order to accommodate the Cobras-Hornets National League fixture which follows directly after as the second part of a double header.
Rye House team manager John Sampford was more than a little relieved on hearing the news just minutes after the end of the practice. "It’s a huge boost to our target of finishing in the top four and achieving a Play Off place. We’re back to having all our heat leaders available to do the business, and I'm confident that we can do just that."
