While, most tracks are starting to wind down their 2010 series, Mid-America has just passed the halfway point of the 2010 season.
We still have races scheduled for September 11th and 25th, and then on October 9th, 16th, and 30th. The September 11th event is paying $100 to win the Heavy Vintage class and $75 to the bike owner (must be over 16 years of age) in the 85cc class, courtesy of Wicked Motorsports in Brownsburg, IN (www.wicked136.com). Practice is at 4:00, and racing starts promptly at 6:00.
Every piece of feedback that we have received about the track this year has been very positive. From the start of the first heat, to the end of the last main our longest event was completed in just over 3½ hours. The track continues to get better for each event, and the track surface received a major rebuild over the Labor Day weekend which should provide for more racing lines and less maintenance throughout the night.
Indiana weather is typically quite mild in September and October, and as the days get shorter, and the nights cool off, the moisture comes up and the riders and spectators are treated to some great racing action. Please come out and join us before the 2010 season is over. We are sure that you will come back.
