As of Monday evening, the situation regarding our injured riders is as follows:
Adrian Rymel: As we have reported, Adrian suffered a broken bone in his neck and severe damage to the right side of his spinal cord. His right shoulder may also have been damaged.
From the track on Friday night he was taken to The Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh, and then moved to the city's Western General Hospital.
Following a series of scans, his broken neck is considered stable -- although he may have to undergo an operation -- but the spinal injuries require more immediate attention.
On Saturday afternoon, Adrian could move his left leg and arm fairly freely, and his right arm with difficulty. He has feeling down the right side of his body.
On Monday, Adrian was transferred again, to the Queen Elizabeth Spinal Injuries Unit at the Southern General Hospital , 1345 Govan Road, Glasgow G51 4TF -- to which address any cards or messages should be forwarded.
This is the main centre for spinal injuries in Scotland, where his condition can better be assessed, and specialist care is available to aid his recovery. At present, it will be impractical for visitors to call at the Hospital.
Jade Mudgway: Although able to walk off the track on Saturday night, Jade was battered and shaken up and suffered concussion.
As of Monday afternoon, he was still feeling very second-hand, and no decision has been reached as to his fitness to ride at Redcar on Thursday.
Marcin Rempala: The facial injuries suffered by Marcin on Saturday night were quite severe, and his nose -- which was broken -- and mouth were damaged to the extent of requiring internal and external stitching.
Despite medical advice to the contrary, Marcin is currently determined to race at Redcar.
Craig Branney: Our other long-term injury victim is Craig Branney, who has almost become the "forgotten man" since his crash against Newport in July. The good news is that he has now been declared fully fit and ready to resume racing -- which, in view of our other injury problems, is no bad thing!
