The International Championship Events/ICE sanctioned and produced 35th ANNIVERSARY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ICE RACING SERIES promises to be the most exciting and competitive yet.
This milestone year in ice racing history warranted a special event to kick off the racing and 'man oh man' do we have that! The 35th Annual Round 1 Season Opener will take place in the beautiful Wells Fargo Arena at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines. The event is set for Saturday November 13th, 2010 at 7:30PM.
This will mark the first time World Championship ICE Racing has visited Des Moines. But check out this fact - no fewer than 4 World Championships and nearly 30 major national event victories have been earned by Iowa based ice racers in the last 4 years alone! Now the rest of North America's top ice racers will converge on the area to battle the "Iowa Posse" on their home turf. Could just be the beginning of "war on ice" come this November 13th!
From its launch point in Des Moines the 35th WC Series is scheduled to visit more than 15 different cities throughout the United States. WC events will be held coast to coast and north to south until the sport's World Champions are crowned in March. This winter has shaped up to be one of the busiest ever for the brave souls known as the gladiators of racing.
