The Neil Street Kangaroo Cup scheduled to be staged at Newport Speedway on the evening of Friday September 17th has been postponed. The individual meeting is to be staged in honour of the Wasps team manager and former club captain Neil Street who is now in his seventies.
Explained club owner Steve Mallett: ' The riders for the original date were being co-ordinated by Neil's grandson Jason Crump( the World Speedway Champion) and Australian team manager Craig Boyce. However fixture changes and other commitments by several senior Australian riders has meant that a decision was taken to seek a new date when a first class field can be assembled.'
