Tim Webster returns to the ranks of the Newport Hornets at Plymouth on Friday evening in National Trophy action following his crash away at Kings Lynn on August 1st and in time to replace Mark Jones who flew home to Australia on Thursday at the expiration of his visa.

Commented Tim: 'I am rested and refreshed after my break and looking forward to a busy period for the Hornets. We are performing well in all the competitions and there is a definite prospect of silverware before the end of the season in October.'

With Todd Kurtz appearing for the Newport Wasps in a Premier League fixture at Somerset Speedway, Highbridge on Friday evening the Hornets will field Lee Smart of the Dudley Heathens as a guest  at the Devon circuit. With Kyle Newman receiving the honour of a call up as a reserve for the Great Britain team to contest the World Under-21 Team Cup Final at Rye House Speedway, Hertfordshire on Sunday then the Hornets will operate the rider replacement rule for him in their National Trophy fixture at Buxton Speedway.

There are several fixture changes involving both the Hornets and the Wasps. Primarily the Hornets will now be at home at Queensway Meadows on Sunday September 12th against Plymouth in the National Trophy with the Wasps now entertaining the Rye House Rockets in Premier League action on Sunday September 19th.
