Plymouth gained their first away win of the season with a 49-41 National League victory at King’s Lynn on Sunday evening. Their eight-point triumph saw them take the maximum four match points to climb above Bournemouth to fourth place in the table.
That means the Devils now occupy one of the championship play-off places, although Bournemouth and Rye House both have matches in hand.
There were double figure returns for Nicki Glanz, Mark Simmonds and skipper Seemond Stephens with Jaimie Pickard continuing his recent good form to score six (paid nine) points.
Glanz and Stephens dropped only one point each while Simmonds was unbeaten by an opponent in his four programmed rides.
King’s Lynn: Barrie Evans 5 (4 rides), Scott Campos 4+3 (5), Jake Knight 12+1 (6), Adam Lowe (rider replacement), Darren Mallett 9 (5). Reserves: Chris Widman 2+1 (3), Lewis Kerr 9+3 (7)
Plymouth: Nicki Glanz 14 (5 rides), Jaimie Pickard 6+3 (4), Matt Bates 4+1 (4), Seemond Stephens 11 (4), Mark Simmonds 12+1 (5). Reserves: David Gough 2 (5), Ben Reade 0 (3).
