Plymouth opened their account in the National Trophy with an impressive all-round display against Buxton at the St Boniface Arena on Friday evening.
The Devils scored solidly throughout while Buxton relied heavily on Craig Cook, who contributed 16 of their 36 points.
Jaimie Pickard was the pick of the Plymouth team. He won the opening race in 50.34 seconds, the fastest time of the evening, and dropped only one point to the opposition when he was beaten by Cook in the final race of the evening.
Plymouth: Nicki Glanz 12+1 (5 rides), Jaimie Pickard 11+3 (5), Matt Bates 6+2 (4), Seemond Stephens 10 (4), Mark Simmonds 6+1 (4). Reserves: David Gough 7+1 (4), Ben Reade 5+1 (4).
