DUDLEY Heathens Speedway bosses have offered their congratulations to Birmingham on their successful battle to keep the sport at Perry Barr Stadium.
Birmingham have faced an ongoing battle to convince city planners to retain the sport in the second city and permanent permission was granted on Thursday morning.
Heathens will be racing two more meetings at the second city track in September - against Plymouth on Wednesday, September 8 and Weymouth on September 22.
Chairman Nigel Pearson said: "On behalf of everyone connected with Dudley Heathens I would like to congratulate Tony Mole and his team on securing the future of speedway in Birmingham.
"It is a wonderful achievement and I hope it serves as a reminder to Dudley Council that Speedway is a valued, family sport. It's a huge boost to the sport and the area to see Birmingham secure and we look forward to the day when we have a stadium to call our own."
