Belle Vue speedway captain, Hans Andersen, is aiming to return for next Monday's home Elite League match against Swindon.
He missed the win over Poole on Monday after breaking a finger and being shaken up in a heavy fall at the Scandinavian Grand Prix in Sweden last Saturday.
The Dane is targeting his Polish League match on Sunday for his return to action and will turn out for Autogate Aces the next night if he comes through it without any reaction.
He said: “The broken finger is being supported by a bracket and my bruised fingers are on the mend but still hurting.
“I've also hurt a couple of ribs and pulled my shoulder but I'm hoping to ride on Sunday.”
The Aces will hold their annual collection for the Speedway Riders' Benevolent Fund during the interval of Monday's match.
