This weekend (22nd Aug) the Falcons face a double header of away fixtures as they travel to Heckmondwike and Sheffield for Northern League duty.
After the disappointment of losing the last home league fixture against Stockport the Falcons chances of taking the league title would appear to fallen away but Team Manager Stevie Gilroy is determined that the seasons high standards continue.
The Heckmondwike side should provide little resistance and it will be a case of saving the legs for the later visit to Sheffield who will provide much stiffer competition. Once again the Falcons will be travelling with a junior side to take on the Sheffield juniors after the senior match has finished.
Disappointingly for the Falcons it would appear that Polish rider Robert Bandosz may have ridden his last match for the club after returning to Poland several weeks ago. With no satisfactory explanation as to his unavailability for training or for team selection an official statement from the Falcons Management on the matter is expected soon.
