Former National Champion “Flyin” Mike Faria won the Industry Speedway Main Event for the first time in 2010 on Warren Russell Night.

Faria started in gate two and made a good enough start to get across the front of gate one starter Shawn “Mad Dog” McConnell and take the lead in turn one.  McConnell chased the leader down the back straight but Faria kept him at bay.  McConnell tried to pressure him into a mistake, but Faria didn’t allow him any opportunities and he cruised the rest of the way to the victory.  McConnell settled for second, “Fast” Eddie Castro was third, Bobby “Boogaloo” Schwartz finished fourth, and “Battling” Buck Blair was fifth.

The heats kicked off with Neil Facchini getting a win over McConnell.  Tyson Talkington scored an impressive victory over Blair in the second heat.  Faria beat Castro in the third heat.  Austin Novratil ended the first round with a defeat of Dale Facchini.

Schwartz opened the second round with a win over Castro.  Talkington beat McConnell for his second straight victory.  Novratil made it two wins in two races by using the outside to beat Blair.  Tyson Burmeister beat Faria to conclude round two.

Novratil began the final round of heats by beating Faria to remain perfect.  Burmeister beat Schwartz for his second straight win.  Castro defeated McConnell to win event 15.  Blair ended the heats with his first victory of the evening.

Faria won the first semi with Castro following him into the main event.  Blair and McConnell finished one-two in the second semi to transfer to the main, but the previously unbeaten Novratil finished fifth and was done for the evening.  Schwartz made a brilliant trap from gate four to win the Last Chance and book the final spot in the main.

Kip McClain led the first lap on the Support Main Event but Jake Myers slipped by on the second lap to take over the lead.  Myers extended his lead with each lap and was first to the checkered flag. McClain held on for second, Tony DeAlmeida finished third, Chris Jones was fourth, and Steve Leffler finished fifth.

Max Ruml defeated Samuel Ramirez to win the Tom Foster Youth First Division Main Event.

Dillon Ruml led all four laps en route to victory in the Youth Second Division Main Event.  Nick Varner was second, Broc Nicol finished third, and Kurtis Hamill was fourth.

Alyssa Smith led the Pee Wee Main Event for three laps before Sebastian Palmese overcame his 40-yard handicap and passed her on the back straight.  Palmese held on through the final corner and claimed the victory.  Smith settled for second and Dominic Laney finished third.

Scott Driggers and Casey Driggers were leading the Sidecar Main Event before a crash brought out the red flag.  They repeated the performance by taking the lead in the restart.  Gerard Jackson and Dave German took over the lead on the third lap, but Driggers and Driggers didn’t just lie down.  They went back after the new leader, but the two bikes locked together as they took the white flag and both teams ended up on the infield.

Brian Motis and Brandi McElroy took advantage and led the final lap for the victory.  Kevin Brown and Matt Davis were second and Dylan Beard and Crystal Laurie finished third.
