Heavy rain denied Plymouth the chance of victory over Newport in Friday’s National Trophy match at the St Boniface Arena.
The brief downpour brought a premature end to the meeting with the Devils leading 17-13 after five heats.
Plymouth had provided all five heat winners before the rain forced referee Phil Griffin to suspend the action. Although the rain eased after a while, the referee considered the wet track was not safe to allow racing to continue.
The meeting has been re-arranged for Friday September 10, which was a blank date at the St Boniface Arena.
Plymouth: Nicki Glanz 3 (1 ride), David Gough 1 (1), Matt Bates 0 (2), Seemond Stephens 6 (2), Mark Simmonds 3 (1). Reserves: Jaimie Pickard 3 (1), Ben Reade 1 (2).
Newport: Todd Kurtz 3+1 (2), Tim Webster 2 (2), Mark Jones 1+1 (1), Tony Atkin 2 (1), Kyle Newman 2 (1). Reserves: James White-Williams 2 (1), Tom Young 1+1 (2).
