BIRMINGHAM Speedway bosses are urging fans to turn out in force for tonight's eagerly-awaited Premier Trophy Final with Newcastle at Perry Barr (7.30).
And team manager Graham Drury says a good start to the meeting will put his side right back in contention to overhaul the 22-point first leg deficit.
It's the biggest night of the season for the BRC Roofing Brummies, who went through their qualifying group without dropping a point.
Said Drury: "All the riders know what's expected of them and we know how important it is for us to make a good start.
"If we can hit Newcastle early then who knows what may happen. We can't afford any silly mechanical failures or tapes exclusions because we've already put ourselves under pressure.
"We need the backing of the Birmingham public, it's a big night for the club and it would be a massive boost for us all if we could bring a major national title to the city."
Birmingham will also be revealing a new signing to add to the club's growing asset base. Gates open at 6pm and there is a good weather forecast.
