Round 5 of the International Mefo Sport Flattrack Cup 2010 has been relocated to Slany (CZ).
The planned flat track weekend in Switzerland will have to be postponed. Philipp Kempf, president of the Swiss federation SAM, said that all ingredients were in place to give Switzerland it's inaugural flat track race, but it all took a bit longer then expected and there's simply not enough time left to prepare the event in a professional way.
Jiri Kolar jumped in to resque. After the great succes of the flat track weekend earlier this year he is keen to bring more flat track racing to the Czech republic and offered to host round 5 in Slany on the same date, 8 August.
We look forward to return to the beautiful short track in Slany and battle it our with some of the local speedway riders who might make some guest appearences.
Also worth mentioning is that Marco Belli is crowned new Italian flat track champion! Marco won the third and last round in Terenzano which took place last Saturday night. Massimiliano Andreotti came second, Jan-Willem Jansen third, Armando Castagna fourth. Bravo Marco!
