Poole Speedway: Pirates Keen Not To Be Stung Again.

After their point-less league trip last night to Eastbourne the Castle Cover Pirates will be keen to reflect on where it wrong as they prepare for their third meeting in as many nights with a trip to Coventry (8pm).

The Pirates still hold a 7 point lead at the top of the Sky Sports table but tonight will effectively be their 'match in-hand' over second placed Wolverhampton and the Pirates will be determined to try and add more misery into former club captain Alun Rossiter, in his new role at Coventry.

"I don't think that people should look at the league table and see the 29 point gap and think that it will be easy for us at Coventry tonight" said Matt Ford, "They (Coventry) started slowly but have begun to string together some home wins and as we saw at Eastbourne last night, as league leaders we are the team everyone wants to beat. I hope we don't have quite as many riders struggling for points as we did at Eastbourne and that we can follow up with a performance more like that of our first visit to Coventry when we won by 15 points.

We will have our 2 Under 21 finalists putting club first for us tonight and travelling to Poland tomorrow which allows us to have a full-strength side out and I am delighted about that. We just need to put Eastbourne behind us now and concentrate on trying to beat Coventry

COVENTRY: Krzysztof Kasprzak, Lewis Bridger, Ben Barker, Edward Kennett, Chris Harris, Josh Auty, Przemyslaw Pawlicki.

POOLE: Chris Holder, Leon Madsen, Bjarne Pedersen, Artur Mroczka, Davey Watt, Darcy Ward, Jason Doyle.--
