Cycle Speedway: 2010 Manchester League Grand Prix series round 5.

Bury hosted round 5 of the Manchester League Grand Prix series on Wednesday evening.

The juniors raced first on a loose slippery surface, before the surplus shale was swept off during the early stages of the senior match.
 
Bury's James Elston raced to a 16 points maximum in the U-10s match. A & T's Adam Phillips and Stockport's Matt Turner both raced unbeaten in the U-13 match. Stockport duo Jack Lush and Ben Higham both raced unbeaten in the U-16 and U-19 categories respectively. Stockport ran out overall winners in the Division 2 (junior team) match, with A & T 2nd and Bury 3rd.

Plenty of competitive racing took place in the senior match. Bury's Chris Parish lost only to Stockport's Ben Higham in heat 3, with five riders all scoring13 points each. Stockport ran out easy winners, from Bury, with A & T third.
