Aidan Collins took maxium points after another Grand Final win in round 2 of the Pozzani Silkolene Shorttrack Championship at the Peterborough Showground.
Ade lead after a brave move around the outside of Tom Woolley on the first lap, taking control of the race and holding 6 bikes length lead from Woolley and Daz Trapmore on the Kinrade Honda.
On lap 2 Jacopo Monti on the big Harley Rotax moved into third spot, moving Trapmore down to 4th and there was a freight train of riders swapping places down to 8th place. On lap 3 Monti got past Woolley and started to look like he might catch Collins but Woolley had not given in and by lap 8 was trying to pass Monti again but in turn there were another 6 riders wheel to wheel behind him, rubbing tyres on each other's swinging arms trying to make passes on the tight blue grooved track.
By lap 11 Collins was safely on his way to his second Grand Final win. Jacopo Monti was having to battle hard to hold on to his second spot from Tom Woolley, Trapmore, Pete Boast, Marco Belli, Richard Mason and Geoff Baldock. Collins took the flag and the flamboyant Italian Jacopo Monti held 2nd from works CCM rider Tom Woolley who took the third spot on the rostrum.
