As the temperature finally begins to rise, so too does a feeling of excitement and anticipation among Suffolk speedway supporters as Ipswich Witches prepare to take to the track on Friday in a season opener challenge match against Lakeside Hammers at the Arena Essex Raceway (start 20.00).

The Witches team will include no less than three riders making their debuts for the Suffolk side – England international Olly Allen, Dane Claus Vissing and the Blonde Bombshell from Sweden Linus Sundstrom.
The entire team will be resplendent in a brand new race suit design.

Director of Speedway Chris Louis says:” It’s a brand new season – we’ve got new riders, new race suits, a new logo and a new track which will provide some of the best racing in world speedway. It will be great to finally get going at Lakeside on Friday but I think everyone is particularly looking forward to the return leg at Foxhall next Thursday (March 25th, start 19.45) when we get a chance to see action on the new track for the first time”.
