WOLVERHAMPTON’S Speedway superstars roar back into action with an exciting new season of racing on Monday when bitter rivals Coventry Bees visit Monmore Green (7.30).
The Parrys International Wolves will be looking for a winning start against their neighbours from down the M6 before heading to Brandon for the return on Friday.
And Wolves boss Peter Adams reckons the two teams are evenly matched going into the season opener.
He said: “This is a good way for both clubs to start the season. Coventry are one of a number of clubs who I feel look well capable of a play-off push this season, along with ourselves. I think the fans will see two good, competitive meetings.”
Wolves hand a debut to winter signing Joe Screen, who is in for the injured Adam Skornicki, and Ludvig Lindgren –younger brother of the team’s top man Freddie – is back for a second spell at the club.
Teenage ace Joe Haines gets the nod in the doubling-up role at reserve and Chris Kerr will take that position in the return.
Coventry, meanwhile, hand a debut to former Wolf Christian Hefenbrock who has joined the Bees on loan.
WOLVERHAMPTON: Freddie Lindgren, Ty Proctor, Nicolai Klindt, Joe Screen, Tai Woffinden, Ludvig Lindgren, Joe Haines.
COVENTRY: Chris Harris, Christian Hefenbrock, Rory Schlein, Ben Barker, Edward Kennett, Josh Auty, Filip Sitera.
