DUDLEY Heathens Speedway fans have the chance to own a unique piece of memorabilia after triple World Champion Erik Gundersen's visit to the UK last weekend.
Gundersen has signed a stunning sketch print produced by Stockport artist Steve Ridgway and donated to the Heathens Speedway Supporters Club.
It's a superb piece of work showing Gundersen ahead of great rival Hans Nielsen in front of a packed house at Dudley Wood in the mid 80s.
He signed only a handful of copies at the World Speedway Riders' Association Dinner in Leicester on Saturday and it will now be framed and made available for auction.
Dudley Heathens Chairman Nigel Pearson said: "It's a great piece of work and my thanks go to Steve for donating the item.
"And Erik was only too happy to add his autograph which means it's now a very rare item. Erik hopes it raises a few quid for the club."
It will be made available for auction at the Dudley pre-season launch at Cradley Heath Liberal Club when former Wolves, WBA and England football star Steve Bull MBE is the guest speaker. New Dudley skipper Lee Smart will also be introduced to fans for the first time.
It takes place on Friday March 26 and tickets are available priced £10 by calling 07717 242957.
