This year the Falcons will once again be in league action entering an A & B Team in the Northern & Scottish Region Cycle Speedway League.
The addition of a B Team is an exciting development for the Falcons and will go a long way to ensuring the future stability of the club as the B Team enables Team Manager Stevie Gilroy to introduce up and coming riders to competitive on track action.
The Falcons squad have been working hard in pre-season training since 24th Jan and have received great help and support from all at LifeCycle Spinning at Newhaven Road.
The Northern & Scottish Knock Out Team Cup will also be contested at Stockport and various club members will be competing in Individual events throughout the UK and for the Scottish National side.
As well as all this there will be several Come & Try Sessions arranged for Redbraes throughout the season and the dates for these will be communicated soon. The Falcons will also be actively taking part in the Edinburgh Festival of Sport running in June and National Bike Week which is also in June.
A closer relationship is building with Scottish Cycling and we hope to see some interesting developments on this front during the year.
It’s sure to be an exciting 2010.
