Sussex Speedway team Eastbourne Eagles meticulous planning for the forthcoming Elite League speedway season has received a major boost with the announcement of an exciting new headline sponsorship deal for the 2010 campaign.

The Eastbourne promotion feel both privileged and delighted to unveil Lifestyle Europe as the clubs main team sponsors in a deal signed today (Thursday 18.02.10), one that marks a significant investment into the Eagles set up by the company behind the seaside town’s Mazda and Renault car showrooms.

The deal is due to be finalised at a photo-call scheduled for 2 p.m. at Lifestyle’s Mazda Showroom, Lottbridge Drove in Eastbourne this afternoon when managing director Peter Isted will meet Eastbourne co-promoters Bob Dugard, Trevor Geer and Mike Bellerby together with team Captain Cameron Woodward and officially unveil the Eagles new Lifestyle branding for the campaign ahead.

The collaboration is one that is sure to enliven and prove beneficial to both parties as the season prepares to get underway at Arlington stadium on Saturday March 20th with the Eagles set to face the might of the Peterborough Panthers, complete with club asset Lewis Bridger in harness, in a Grand Opening Challenge match.

Eastbourne Eagles as a club have a proud history, possessing arguably the finest sporting pedigree not only of the town whose name they represent but also the region as a whole. Equally, Lifestyle Europe as a company are certainly no strangers to the winner’s enclosure, claiming the title’s Best Retail Group and Sussex Business of the Year in the last twelve months alone.

With both the Eagles and Lifestyle Europe having proven track records and vaunting huge success in their own separate fields, those involved with both factions are sure to be doing all in their power to ensure they prove a winning partnership in season 2010 and hopefully in the years ahead.

Trevor Geer summed up the delighted mood prevalent at Arlington following the welcome announcement of the sponsorship tie up “A great deal of work has gone into securing the future of the Eagles as a top flight speedway team and we’re hugely grateful to those fans and local businesses that have dug very deeply into their pockets and given up a lot of time for the club. A prominent local business like Lifestyle coming on board really adds to our momentum and will give a renewed enthusiasm on the track”.

The association with Lifestyle Europe is the latest community initiative by the Sussex club, compounding a winter of frenzied activity, one that has included the introduction of the Eagles innovative ‘100 CLUB’ as well as the re-launch of the Eastbourne Supporters Club, both of which are sure to bring the team ever closer to their loyal supporters.

Lifestyle Europe which operates Ford, Mazda, Renault, Subaru and Isuzu dealerships across Sussex, Surrey and Kent, this year opened its third Mazda showroom – situated on Lottbridge Drove. Visit www.lifestyleeurope.co.uk or call 0844 375 5754 to talk about the latest deals and book a test drive.
