WOLVERHAMPTON fans favourite Adam Skornicki is making a splash in his recovery from major knee surgery.

The Parrys International Wolves title hero is swimming regularly in his home country, Poland, in a bid to be back on a bike quicker than expected.

He crashed out of the last meeting of the season last October and isn’t expected back until May or June. Experienced British rider Joe Screen takes his place to start the season.

He said: "I'm going through physio and rehabilitation on a daily basis and everything seems to be going well which is good. I feel very encouraged by the way things are going.

"I have a target in my mind to be back racing earlier than originally planned and if that proves successful it will give me time to practice here in Poland before declaring myself race fit.

"I'd like to say thanks to all my fans and also to my sponsors who have been in touch with me since the crash.

"I look forward to coming back to England and meeting up with all my friends when I'm ready to start racing again."
