Lee Richardson and Freddie Lindgren have been instated as confirmed starters for The Bob Kilby Memorial meeting which takes place at Swindon’s Abbey Stadium on Thursday 18 March.
The Grand Prix style twenty-three heat meeting opens the 2010 speedway campaign at Blunsdon and is expected to attract a bumper crowd.
Richardson and Lindgren join Leigh Adams, Nicki Pedersen, Hans Andersen, Steve Johnston, Simon Stead and Seb Ulamek in the starting line up, with more names for the event being released shortly.
Of course, Swindon asset Lee Richardson is well know to Robins’ supporters having spent three campaigns at Blunsdon between 2005-07. In more recent times the Hastings born racer had a successful term on loan with Lakeside in 2009.
Meanwhile, Fredrik Lindgren is a proven Blunsdon performer and his recent record at Swindon has been excellent.
The Swedish youngster, a permanent Grand Prix rider, is widely tipped for World Championship success in the future and his inclusion in March’s meeting is sure to excite.
Swindon co-owner Gary Patchett said:
"Both Lee and Freddie ride Blunsdon very well indeed and are therefore good additions to what is already a strong looking line-up for The Bob Kilby Memorial meeting.
With the event now just over five weeks away we’ll be announcing more names in the near future”.
