Gillman riders Robert Branford, Robert Ksiezak (Solos) and Mark Mitchell/Tom Golding (Sidecar) were the main winners in the first night of racing at Alice Springs Speedway on Friday, 5 February.
Branford and Ksiezak shared the wins in the Solo section, and in most races they crossed the line only a bike length apart.
In the Sidecars Mark Mitchell, Gary Moon and Warren Monson qualified for the final as the top three point scorers, where they were joined by Ron Parker who won the semi-final against Shayne O'Connell, Joe White and Daniel Puddy.
Mitchell, who was the stand out rider on the night, won the final ahead of Moon, with Monson and Parker both running infield in separate incidents.
Byren Gates had a bad night with bike problems, which turned out to a broken earth cable which will be sorted by tonight.
