WOLVERHAMPTON have completed their 2010 Elite League squad by adding Cumbrian racer Richard Lawson as their number eight rider.
Lawson, who will be 24 next month, rides full-time for Workington in the Premier League and will be available to ride for the Parrys International Wolves in the event of rider unavailability.
He was a talented Moto-X rider before trying his hand at speedway and he has a strong family connection in the sport as he is the son of Steve Lawson, one of the finest every riders in the second tier of British racing.
Parrys Intrernational Wolves owner Chris Van Straaten said: “Richard is a very talented rider and I took a keen interest in his career right at the start a couple of years ago when he rode in the Conference League for Redcar.
“He then made the successful step of riding in the Premi! er League with Workington and won the Premier League Fours Championship with them.
“He’s the type of rider to fit the bill at number eight, he’s making progress in the sport and has a desire to succeed. He will always give maximum effort in every race.”
