Australian Speedway: All Star Line Up For S. A. Sidecar Championship At Gillman Sunday Night.

The next Gillman Speedway meeting is the PaintmasterSA 2010 South Australian Sidecar Championship, this Sunday night, 27 December, at 7.30 p.m., and it features an all-star line-up, with 12 riders who have ridden in the Australian Championship, including 10 of the 16 riders from last season’s Australian Championship.

The main riders are:
Darrin Treloar (NSW) — five-times Australian Champion, and with passenger Justin Plaisted five-times South Australian Champion, the most wins in the history of the event.
Mick Headland/Paul Waters — current World Track Racing Sidecar Champions
Mark Mitchell/Tom Golding — current Australian Champions
Mark Plaisted/Sam Harrison — former Gillman Sidecar Champions
Rick Howse/Adam Commons (NSW) — current Australia #3
Warren Monson/Deven Gates (Vic) — former Australia #3

The format is 16 riders over 20 heats, with the top three point scorers going straight into the final and the next four highest scorers go into a semi-final from which the winner goes into the final.

The support events will be Match 4 of the Quad League, and Junior Speedway on the infield track.

Times: Gates open 5 p.m. Racing starts: 7.30 p.m.

Admission costs: Adults: $20, Age Concession: $15, Student Concession: $10, Children aged 10-12: $5, Children Under 10: free, Family (2 Adults and 2 Children): $45, Programme $5. Parking: free.

Catering: Full food and drink catering, including bar. No byo alcohol or glass.

Location: Gillman Speedway is situated at 65 Wilkins Road, Gillman, near the Port Adelaide area.
