AUSTRALIAN star Rory Schlein will be back at Brandon next season after agreeing a new contract with the Buildbase Bees.
Schlein slots into the 2010 line-up on an average of 7.25 - a figure which would have been significantly higher had he not suffered multiple injuries in a mid-season crash which affected his scoring on his return.
Bees have also confirmed that young American Ricky Wells will take the other doubling-up berth alongside Josh Auty. Wells has been loaned to Stoke for a full season in the Premier League.
Promoter Colin Pratt said: "Rory had a very unlucky season this year with some nasty injuries, but he will be recuperating over the winter and we're sure a fully fit Rory will do us proud next year.
"Ricky gained plenty of experience this year and the move to Stoke along with the doubling-up role with us is the right one for him at this stage."
Pratt plans talks with 2009 team members Edward Kennett and Ben Barker in the near future, with both riders having recently returned from holidays, with club asset Olly Allen currently in discussions with another Elite League club as he cannot be accommodated at Brandon under the 40.95 points limit.
News on other Bees assets is that Jordan Frampton is set to be confirmed at a Premier League club, whilst Scott Nicholls has been loaned to hometown team Ipswich.
Adam Roynon, meanwhile, will take a doubling-up spot on loan at Peterborough and Pratt explained the reasons for that decision.
He commented: "Adam will be with Workington in the Premier League and he wanted to be our first-choice doubling-up rider. We couldn't guarantee him that as it will be performance related.
"Peterborough then came in so we have agreed to loan him to them for the season, and it will all be good experience for him."
