The British Sidecar Speedway Championship rolls into Plymouth on Friday when the second round of the competition is staged at the St Boniface Arena (7.30pm).
Current leaders are Mark Cossar and Andi Wilson, who opened their campaign with victory in the first round at Somerset on July 17.
Gary Jackson and Carl Blyth were second with defending champions Matt Tyrrell and Shaun Yates in third place.
Spectators attending last Saturday’s speedway match at the Arena were given a preview of Friday’s action when Tyrrell had a few laps following the KO Cup clash with Bournemouth.
“Matt was trying out a new engine and it was an ideal opportunity for speedway fans to have a taste of what 1,000cc sidecar racing is all about,” said Plymouth chairman Mike Bowden.
