Stoke Easy Rider Potters look to continue their impressive home league form when they take on West Midlands rivals Birmingham in the Premier League at Loomer Road on Saturday night.

The Potters who have only lost once this season at the Chesterton circuit are looking for revenge after a humiliating 58-34 defeat by the Brummies on Wednesday night at Perry Barr a result that saw them slip to fourth in the table.

The Brummies make one change to the side that beat the Potters on Wednesday with Jay Herne coming in to replace James Cockle at reserve. The Brummies are led by Premier League pairs champions Tomasz Piszcz and skipper Jason Lyons while they have good back up from World under-21 finalist Ludvig Lindgren and Richard Sweetman who scored his first ever maximum in British speedway on Wednesday night against the Potters.

The Potters will again be without Jesper Kristiansen who has still not recovered from the injury he sustained whilst riding for Wolverhampton at Lakeside a week last Wednesday. The Dane said “I’m continuing to have physio but it’s going to be another week or so before I’m able to ride and it’s very frustrating for me” The Potters will use rider replacement for Kristiansen. The Potters will also be without Klaus Jakobsen who is on under-21 duty with Newcastle Diamonds rider Derek Sneddon guesting for the Potters in Jakobsen’s absence.

Promoter Dave Tattum said “I’m looking for a very much improved performance from the team after Wednesday nights performance and hope the riders will put the record straight out on the track. “Birmingham have a solid look about them at the moment with Jason Lyons and Tomasz Piszcz who I’m sure will be a handful but we have riders who are just as capable and I’m just hope they shine on Saturday.”

Stoke :
Jason Bunyan, Jesper Kristiansen Rider Replacement, Derek Sneddon (Guest), Lee Complin (Captain), Phil Morris,  Lee Smart, Tom P Madsen

Birmingham :
Tomasz Piszcz, Manuel Hauzinger, Robert Ksiezak, Ludvig Lindgren, Jason Lyons (Captain), Jay Herne, Richard Sweetman
