High flying Swindon continue their adrenaline laced 'Summer of Speed' when they entertain Ipswich Witches at the Abbey Stadium on Thursday 2 July, starting at 7.30 p.m.
With balmy weather forecast, Swindon will be aiming to extend their seven-match unbeaten run, which saw them go through the whole of June with a 100 per cent record in the league.
Indeed, they have not lost an Elite League match since they went down narrowly by just 2 points at Peterborough on 25 May.
The Robins currently hold a 1-point lead in the Sky Sports Elite League table and will be targeting a maximum return against an Ipswich side who have made squad changes in recent weeks.
The Suffolk side have drafted in former World Under-21 Champion Robert Miskowiak as a direct replacement for Leigh Lanham, in an attempt to bring more stability to their middle-order.
The Witches currently lie eighth in the Sky Sports Elite League table, having notched 15 points from nine home and six away fixtures. Their heat-leader department comprises Jaroslaw Hampel, Piotr Swiderski and the aforementioned Miskowiak.
German International Tobias Kroner assumes a second-string role as does Daniel King, who was recently selected in the Team Great Britain starting five for the upcoming Speedway World Cup.
Swindon will continue to operate rider replacement for Jurica Pavlic and the Croatian’s facility is shuffled to the No. 2 berth.
Meanwhile, Simon Stead slots in at No. 3, Travis McGowan at No. 4 with the powerful duo of Leigh Adams and Matej Zagar riding in positions 1 and 5, respectively.
Paul Hurry will miss Thursday's meeting against Ipswich due to a back problem. The Robins' reserve tweaked his back in Monday's victory at Eastbourne.
Young Swindon asset Justin Sedgmen will step into his place, partnering Cory Gathercole in the reserve berth.
Swindon team manager Alun Rossiter said: "We’ve enjoyed a fruitful period over the last fortnight and it’s important we maintain the positive momentum that has seen us re-take top spot in the league table.
"Ipswich haven't enjoyed the best of seasons thus far, but they've altered their squad in recent weeks and that's made their middle-order sturdier.
"We triumphed by a healthy margin when the Witches last visited the Abbey Stadium and we're targeting maximum league points again on Thursday evening."
